Our earlier preprint (medRxiv, see the home page news item here) was accepted by Analytical Chemistry and is available online ahead of print!

Prompted by insightful reviewers, the work was expanded from the preprint version to include Olink’s PEA along with the original SomaScan® platform by SomaLogic, as well as, in replication of earlier work, extension to tissue culture supernatant analysis next to the original human plasma samples.

As a result it now shows that the two leading large panel affinity proteomic technologies, if applied to both blood products as well as secretome analysis, are compatible with the commonly used anti-viral treatment using beta-propiolactone and thus applicable to analysis of samples from high biosafety levels.
